In Queendom, Gena — a queer artist from a small town in Russia — stages radical performances in public that become a new form of art and activism — and put her life in danger.
Working in partnership with director Agniia Galdanova and producer Igor Myakotin, Aggregate is developed and raised the funding for an impact campaign to support LGBTQ+ artists from Russia whose lives are in danger for — or who have fled after — speaking out about the war in Ukraine or defying the Russian Federation’s categorization of the LGBTQ community in the country as an “extremist” movement. QUEENDOM was a 2025 recipient of the Peabody Award, which celebrates “stories that defend public interest, encourage empathy and teach us to expand our understanding of the world around us.”
